I was wandering the mission area in search of good eats... I ended up getting some late breakfast here. They didnt disappoint and service was with a smile. They're chorizo is hella good btw. Also a solid helping of potatos. Fresh squeezed OJ was icing on the cake. Will come again!

We came here for dinner since many restaurants were closed during thanksgiving night in the Mission. Their interior looks festive, cleanliness is ok 3 stars Food was decent but not spectacular 3.5 stars Service was friendly 4 stars We ordered Mole Chicken, the chicken was tender but the mole sauce needed more flavor. My husband ordered the poc chuc that came with tortillas which was freshly made, it was the best dish from our orders.

I like this place! Really friendly service; they were very accommodating. I wandered in because I needed a quiet place to chill and do some work. Their patio wasn't exactly ready but they let me eat out there anyway. The portions are huge! Not the biggest fan of the Chile relleno but rice and beans were on point!

Best thing about Mission District is the abundance of great food. So many places to try. This little gem has a different take on Mexican Cuisine, it specializes in Yucatan homemade dishes. If you want something other than street taco or burrito get you a Plate of meat with sauce served with blended black beans and rice. Small menu but packed with flavor. You know if your food comes with handmade tortillas it's gonna smack. Bonus tip get some empanadas for appetizers. BoMB ! Staff is super friendly too

This happens to be one favorite chicken meals in San Francisco. The pollo con papas ( Chicken with potatoes) is amazing. It's a good dish to have if you want something different than fried chicken. I enjoyed every bite of it .

There is a lot to like about Yucatán, Fresh, Favorable Food, Some Interesting Menu Options, Friendly Service, and a comfortable dinning space. I got a Burrito togo this time, and because this is not a taqueria I understood the kitchen would need a few minutes to prepare the order. For dinning in, the space is colorful , with sufficient space for a group to sit down for relaxed dinning. As for menu options, I have been here before and had their Panucho which are a treat to enjoy, and in my opinion a better option then Tacos, plus check out the Beef Soup. At home I was reward with a massive burrito, that relied on flavor over heat. The meat was plentiful, tender, and perfectly spiced for my palate. The serving was significant even for my appetite, and easily enough to share if partnered with some soup , salad or veg. It is important to note that Yucatán is not open late, but I normally think of this as a Breakfast , Brunch , Lunch space. Also I think Yucatan has a price point expectation issue being located at 24th & Mission. If Yucatán were one block over with a Valencia street address I do not think anyone would bat an eye at their prices, but I think some expect Mission Taqueria pricing here. Btw: Parking can be bad here, but I have always found a space within a block.

4.5 STARS While WFH, I was craving Mexican comfort food specifically Menudo. If you love Menudo (or a lush like me), than you know that this is only offered on the weekends. IMO, it's one of the best hangover remedies. Open for takeout and delivery during COVID-19, I found Mi Yucatán on DoorDash and saw they offer Mondongo everyday...close enough. Except it's listed as "Vegetarian" on the menu. Welp, I hope you're not a Vegetarian if you order this because you're going to be locking lips with...FEET. Pig's feet to be exact AND beef tripe. Don't knock it until you try it...this soup is protein and collagen rich, and has a healthy amount of selenium, B12, and zinc. If Mondongo is not for you, Mi Yucatán, a family-owned restaurant serving Yucatán and Mayan food also offers All Day Breakfast (i.e. Huevos Rancheros), Panuchos (bean filled tostadas), Burritos, Tamales, and Specialty Dishes like Pollo Con Papas, Cochinita Pibil, and Poc Chuc. Mi Yucatán has been in The Mission for 5 years so I'm surprised to see so little reviews. Since it's a Yucatán and Mayan restaurant, it's probably best to stick with their specialties and save the burritos for a taqueria. Prices are several dollars higher on DoorDash (also on GrubHub and Postmates) but it helps to offset some of the 3rd party apps fees. For delivery, I ordered the Mondongo: Beef Tripe Soup ($15.50) and Pollo Con Papas: Stewed Chicken w/ potatoes, refried beans, rice, and housemade tortillas ($15.50): https://bit.ly/2VhweuH. Food arrived in 25 minutes and piping hot. * Mondongo: Beef Tripe Soup The Beef Tripe Soup is accompanied with a baggie of diced white onions, green onions, lime, and half a habanero to doctor up your soup. The broth was light, comforting, and mildly spicy (I added the habanero for more heat). Not too salty which I appreciated. The pata (pig's feet) was meltingly soft and gelatinous. I'm used to just seeing honeycomb tripe in tripe soup so I was surprised to see all three cuts: honeycomb, blanket, and book tripe. The tripe was decently tender but not tough or chewy. There could have been more tripe but it satisfied my menudo craving and hit the spot. * Pollo Con Papas: Stewed Chicken w/ potatoes, refried beans, rice, and housemade tortillas ($15.50) I loved this homey dish! The stewed chicken (leg quarter) effortlessly falls off the bone, no knife is needed...neither are teeth because the chicken is so soft. The potatoes are tender and soaks up all that delicious broth. Often the sides, particularly the beans are overlooked. Not here. The refried beans were so smooth and creamy. Delicious. They're generous with the handmade tortillas; I received 10 with my order so I was able to stretch this to 3.5 meals. They're thick and nicely chewy...perfect for sopping up the chicken stew and mondongo broths. Can't comment much on the service since it was a DoorDash delivery but I keep tabs on my order on the app and my order was prepared in about 10 minutes so I appreciate the promptness. Shout out to my awesome Dasher, Rodrigo - he kept me up to date with my order via text and texted me when he left my order at the gate. You guys, please tip generously! These delivery folks are risking their lives for our convenience. A friend who's a Dasher said, customers are leaving no tip or a $2 tip on a large order. If you can afford to get delivery, you can afford to tip...appropriately. Overall, solid Yucatán and Mayan food and speedy food service. 4.5 stars rounded up. If you're looking for regional Mexican comfort food for pick-up or delivery, give this under the radar, family-owned restaurant a try!

Homestyle cooking to make you fall in love with Mexican cuisine all over again. Within the huge percentage of options for Mexican food a few stand out. Why? Home-cooked deliciousness. The beauty of home cooked style Mexican food is you, the diner, have the wonderful pleasure of sauces that took hours to make with a multitude of spices and flavor profiles that make your average Mexican place pale in comparison. I love the depth and complexity of Mexican food. It isn't about heat hot, no, it's about specific chiles, aromatics, and herbs. Oh man, I love Mexican food. So, this spot is legit perfect. The black beans are bliss without meditating. The tortillas are hand made...thick and chewy. The carnitas have onions and are oily and so good to use that tortilla to get every drop into your mouth. I'm sweating just thinking about it. My Mexican son-in-law endorses it and my non-Mexican self who absolutely loves home cooked Mexican food loves this place! The food is delicious, well priced, and you can have it delivered. Win win and win. Tamales and bacon burritos for a Christmas morning breakfast while opening gifts at home? Biggest win of all! Oh! That green spicy sauce? Hot! Try it. Fiver for this great mom and pop
